THE CHILLER IS:

An oustanding   song, cool in mood and tempo that is  rarely heard on the radio, therefore "cool to play" and features a truly exceptional vocal performance that sends a cold shiver down the spine causing the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

THE CHILLER IS NOT:

A song that gets played frequently on the radio or has ever been the first dance at a chav wedding reception. "Three Times A Lady"  by the Commodores "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion and any song by Whitney Houston or Mariah Cary are specifically excluded from  "The Chiller".

"The Chiller" is played just after Baker's choice and before the weekly mix. It is advisable to turn the lights down low, close you eyes and have a glass of grape-based refreshment in hand (please drink responsibly).

How "The Chiller" was introduced to the show

Till recently, the show had only ever played mid-to-up-tempo dance tunes, but a request from a listener to play Marlena Shaw's classic "Go away little boy" hit a nerve with Les. This is one of his all time favorite songs and vocal performances and whilst it was seemingly out of context, Les' love of this song was too much to resist playing it.

This prompted thoughts about other great vocal performances and songs he would love to play on-air so "The Chiller" was created.
